Klaviyo

Our website uses Klaviyo, a third party that handles the email traffic originating from our website and the sending of any newsletters. All confirmation emails you receive from our website and web forms are sent through the servers of Klaviyo. Klaviyo will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every automated email sent from our website, you will find the 'unsubscribe' link. If you click on this, you will no longer receive emails from our website. Gmail

We use Gmail's services for our regular business email traffic. This party has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Gmail has no access to our mailbox, and we handle all our email traffic confidentially.

Payment processors

Mollie

For handling part of the payments in our webshop, we use the platform of Mollie. Mollie processes your name, address, and residence information, as well as your payment details, such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and, in this context, to share (anonymized) data with third parties. All the above guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie's services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not retain your data longer than permitted by the statutory time limits.

Reviews

WebwinkelKeur

We collect reviews via the platform of WebwinkelKeur. If you leave a review through WebwinkelKeur, you are required to provide a name and email address. WebwinkelKeur shares this information with us so we can link the review to your order. WebwinkelKeur also publishes your name on its website. In some cases, WebwinkelKeur may contact you to provide clarification on your review. If we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address with WebwinkelKeur, who uses this data solely to invite you to leave a review. Shipping and logistics

PostNL

If you place an order with us, it is our task to deliver your package to you. We use PostNL's services to carry out the deliveries. For this purpose, we must share your name, address, and residence details with PostNL. PostNL uses this data solely for fulfilling the agreement. If PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your data available to these parties.

Billing and accounting

Shopify

For keeping our administration and bookkeeping, we use Shopify's services. We share your name, address, residence information, and details related to your order.

This information is used for the administration of sales invoices. Your personal data is securely transmitted and stored. Shopify is obligated to confidentiality and will handle your data confidentially. Shopify does not use your personal data for other purposes than those described above.

Purpose of data processing

General purpose of processing

We only use your data to provide our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the order you place. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you later – other than at your request – we will explicitly ask for your permission. Your data is not shared with third parties, except to fulfill accounting and other administrative obligations. Automatically collected data

In certain cases, MECBOS may be obligated to share your data in connection with a government fiscal or criminal investigation. In such cases, we are compelled to share your data, but we will oppose this within the limits of the law.

Retention periods

We retain your data for as long as you are our client. This means we keep your client profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you notify us of this, we will interpret it as a forget request. Due to applicable administrative obligations, we must retain invoices containing your (personal) data for as long as the applicable term runs. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile or documents created based on your assignment.

Your rights

Under current Dutch and European law, you, as a data subject, have certain rights regarding the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. Below, we explain which rights these are and how you can invoke these rights. In principle, we send copies of your data only to your email address already known to us to prevent misuse. If you wish to receive the data at a different email address or by post, we will ask you to verify your identity. We maintain a record of processed requests; in the case of a forget request, we record anonymized data. All copies of data are provided in the machine-readable data format used within our systems. You always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority if you suspect we are misusing your personal data.

You always have the right to have the data that we process, or have processed, and which relate to or can be traced back to you, carried out by another party.
